Prague Yoga Collective is owned and operated by Lisa Wakenshaw & Alex Rodoni and was created in 2017 together with Betti Rompos to bring the Yogis of Prague together.

We offer a wide variety of strong, quality yoga classes in English that are open to anyone with an interest in the practice; old and young, beginner to advanced.

We have a lovely studio in Vinohrady at Rejskova 2, and a bright and welcoming studio in Letna at Letenské náměstí 6.

We warmly invite you to come along for a class in either of our spaces, or you can catch us outside during the summer for our “Yoga in the Park” sessions.

You can always be sure to find a great class, taught by a passionate teacher!

See you on the mat!

A bit more about us:

Alex Rodoni

My yoga journey began in 2010, with a light relationship/interest in the yogic lifestyle, in California near my hometown.

In 2013, I underwent two operations on my knee, and I used yoga as a means to recovery.

Meditation taught me how to overcome the physical pain, and Asana practice slowly allowed me to regain full range of motion.

I've continued to nurture my yoga journey throughout my time here in Prague. I received a 200-hr teacher training certificate in Vinyasa and Hatha Yoga from Yoga Vimoksha in Goa, India in December 2015.

I also completed a 500-hr advanced teacher training in Ashtanga from Kranti Yoga in Goa, India in January 2017.

I specialize in Vinyasa flow with special attention to breath work using the breath to sync the mind to the body.

I love yoga. All types of yoga.

I was introduced to Hot Yoga back in 2005, and ever since then I have been on my own yoga journey It has taken me around the world and back.

I've never committed to one single practice, but I have tried out and trained in different practices to broaden my teaching skills and to deepen my own personal practice.

I have done teacher trainings in Hatha Yoga, AcroYoga, Vinyasa Flow, Ashtanga Vinyasa, Pre/Post-Natal/Baby, Rocket Yoga and Hot Yoga. I am also trained in Partner Acrobatics, Flying Therapeutics, and Thai massage. I love travelling, and yoga has given me the privilege to take my teaching with me and work all over the world.

I always teach with s strong focus on the connection between breath and alignment, as our physical form is nothing without the support of our breath.

In addition to yoga, I am a passionate, barefoot-running, fun-loving mother of two (Phineas, born in 2016, and Avi, born 2019), who loves eating vegan food, getting up at 5 am for my morning practices, and rainy, cold, autumn days.

I fell in love with dance back when I was seven years old, and this feeling only continues to grow year after year. Following my participation in numerous competitions and performances, I received my certification in 2008 to perform as a modern dance instructor. I first got in touch with yoga four years ago while living in Houston where I had a chance to learn from an awesome Venezuelan instructor.

From that point, I started to visit yoga classes more or less regularly, but the "big yoga boom" came into my life after I got injured during a dance class. I turned to hot yoga to cure my torn muscle and to bring back my flexibility. And it worked! Slowly, step by step, but it worked!

Since then, yoga is an essential element of my life. In 2016, I left Prague for a wonderful journey to Asia, which started in India, where I completed my 200 hrs teacher training in Hatha and Ashtanga Yoga. After the course, during my travels, I taught in Japan, Taiwan, Vietnam, and Indonesia.

Yoga's magic is something that can make you feel relaxed and energized all at the same time. You are sweating and smiling, getting stronger and more flexible simultaneously. While becoming aware of the power of your own breath, you are discovering unknown dimensions of your own body.
